Started in 1978 by two UBC students determined to offer club members a higher level of service, Tomko quickly grew to Canada's largest supplier of tennis court surfaces and equipment. While their competitors remained one person operations, Tomko flourished by providing uncompromising service and quality Plexipave surface installations - the number 1 selling tennis court surface in the world. Today, Tomko surfaces nearly all of western Canada's major tennis clubs. Tomko is owned and actively managed by founder / president Ian Macdonald, controller Michael Maxwell-Smith, and operations manager John Dafoe.
